The UNIMONT – Centre of University of Milan at the International Mountain Conference in Innsbruck.

The UNIMONT – Centre of University of Milan is contributing with two Focus sessions to the International Mountain Conference, taking place in Innsbruck from 11 to 15 September 2022.


The UNIMONT Centre of the University of Milan takes part in the EU Macro-Regional Strategies Week 2022

The third edition of the EU Macro Regional Strategies Week organized by the European Commission – DG Regio will be held online from 7th to 11th March 2022. The UNIMONT centre of the University of Milan will take part in the workshop “Promoting green transition and sustainable growth through cross- macro-regional smart specialization”, due to its coordinating role in EUSALP Action Group 1 – Research & Innovation as delegated by the Lombardy Region.


The UNIMONT Center – the Edolo Campus of the University of Milan – participates in projects to relaunch viticulture in Valle Camonica

A meeting on the development of viticulture in Valle Camonica was held in Breno on Friday 4th February: 2022 will be a very important year for the Val.so.vi.ca. project. Led by the Consorzio Vini IGT Valcamonica, the UNIMONT centre of the University of Milan, the Comunità Montana di Valle Camonica, the Fondazione Fojanini di Studi di Superiori, and 20 producers of Valcamonica are working to identify new development opportunities for this sector as well as new tools for environmental conservation and territorial marketing.

Bachelor degree in Conservation and Sustainable Development of Mountain Areas

The goal of the Undergraduate Programme in Conservation and sustainable development of mountain areas (Class L-25) is to provide a strong basic knowledge and to provide professional skills in the main fields of agricultural and forest sciences. Graduates will be able to deal with technical, management and professional activities typical of agricultural and forest systems and the related technologies.

Bandi per la montagna

Starting from the 2022 season and for a period of five years, the Val Grande National Park Authority intends to assign the management of the refuge - called “Rifugio Parpinasca” - to third parties which satisfy the eligibility requirements.

The Comunità Montana di Valle Camonica, as the managing body of the Adamello Park, will assign the management of the activities and services of tourism, hospitality, promotional, educational and scientific nature, to be carried out at the complex of buildings called "Casa del Parco dell'Adamello".

Granting of funding for setting up an agricultural enterprise as owner or legal representative within the scope of the 2014-2020 Rural Development Program of Lombardy.

Competition to reward the best master's degree theses on important alpine themes.

Medicinal plants, due to their wide use and the specificity of the sector, are affected by many rules which, intersecting, generate a certain interpretative complexity. This meeting aims to illustrate the main legislative aspects of the production of medicinal plants in a short chain.

 

15th MARCH, 2022, 3.30 pm | A MOUNTAIN OF VALUE: "La Terra di Mezzo" Farm

First meeting of the series of events "A MOUNTAIN OF VALUE: entrepreneurs and innovators for mountain areas". The seminar hosts “La Terra di Mezzo” Farm, which will explain the good practices, successful experiences and innovative methods used for entrepreneurship in the mountains and to bring added value to these territories.


23rd MARCH 2022, 6.00 pm |  racCONTA LA MONTAGNA : " Sul confine: on the border. Walking between Italy and Switzerland from Sempione to Formazza" by Alberto Paleari

Fifth appointment of the literary review racCONTA LA MONTAGNA 5th Edition – A.Y. 2021-2022 with the presentation of the book "Sul confine" by Alberto Paleari. The book talks about the 34 passes and passages between Italy and Switzerland in the western Lepontine Alps.


24th MARCH 2022, 2.00 pm | Youth4Mountains Series: Sharing mountain regions' examples of innovative and sustainable tourism

Second appointment in the series of international workshops aimed at young entrepreneurs, current and future, from all over the world, to share ideas and experiences from which to draw inspiration. The meeting focuses on the theme of tourism and on how recreational activities can be associated with ecological and social needs.
